The Anchor Inn, Hartfield

Very nice place. I drink here and eat here regularly. Nice beer garden, and the restaurant is very good. We took my elderly parents, and the waiting staff were excellent, and treated my infirm father with great kindness. Food was very good, and beer was spot on.

The Albany, Thames Ditton

I visited this place back in the summer. Bar staff were friendly, but VERY busy, and got my order wrong - twice. They were very nice about it though and sorted it out with a smile. The ones I dealt with were young South Africans, and New Zealanders/Aussies. Beers were well kept, but limited on choices. Upmarket German Lagers. Belgian Trappist stuff too.

Beer Garden consisted of picnic tables overlooking the river. Nice location, but needed more frequent visit by bar staff to collect empties and tidy tables. For all that, a very nice (if a bit pricey) pub, that caters well for both adult and child customers. I would visit this place again.
