The Pump House, Fulham

I went to this pub (the Clem Attlee) as I'd just moved to the area. The barstaff noticed me come into the large bar but continued to chat to 1-2 other punters. She eventually walked towards me, smiled and walked staright passed towards another punter, with whom she talked about the contents of his shopping bag. After about 7 minutes of this, wandering and waiting, I walked out and will never go back.

The Salisbury Tavern, Fulham

The Salisbury is one of the most pretentious pubs in the area. There is great opportunity to deliver a good service here with a large catchment area but it is not grasped. Rather it sees itself as beyond reproach and offers expensive fare for what is nothing more than average. Additionally, this is a pub and one of increasing numbers, that puts 'reserved' signs all over the place and thereby limits the room for the many as the few want to watch the rugby - complain at your peril. The restaurant is a waste of space and should be redeveloped.
