The Old Castle, Bridgnorth

Perhaps we turned up when they were having a bad day but I have to say I thoroughly regret taking my family (9 of us) to this pub for lunch recently. The guy working the bar (pretty sure he was the landlord) was miserable from the start but the lady who cooked the food took the biscuit. When it came to handing out the food she didn't seem to be able to cope and became impatient and very rude when a couple of my kids (who ordered similar dishes) took a moment to figure out who's was who's. She started telling them off! Heaven knows why they describe their pub as 'Family Friendly' Oh... and the food was pretty awful too. Give this one a miss - loads of other pubs in the town where I'm sure you will actually feel welcome.
