There is no such ale as Pots ale. This was a Cheriton Brewery Beer and as this Brewery no longer exists nor does the beer. There are similarly named beers from the replacement Brewery, but the brewer is different, he uses different yeast, malt and hops, so his brews must be judged on their own merit. But I agree, this pub does keep its beers extremely well and the pub has a great atmosphere, the staff are really friendly and the decor, including a stuffed donkey is interesting!
