The Plough, Plumpton Green

Met some old friends at this Pub for Lunch in early August as never been there before and thought it was worth a try, we all had the Fish Cakes, supposedly of Salmon, Prawns, Cod and salad at 9.95. What a huge dissapointment, I could only describe it as a Fish Bomb, it was deep fried and full of deep fried fat, it was 80% made of potato and truly woeful, the salad was miniscule and tired and limp, mayoniasse surround the plate, this meal was a classic cholesterol killer five star meal, this is rather typical out of sate cooking by pubs for the great british public. What poor value for money and this meal probably only costs a pound to make as described above. Told the bar man what I thought of it, but he did not the initiative to offer a discount or a refund, so thats off the list for a re-visit, why can't Pubs like this see what they are doing wrong, improve the food out of sight and then think how many more new and repeat customers they would get, or is there so many people living in the South East that people really don't care?
