Buck Hotel, Richmond

Since the new landlord took over in March, we are now regular visitors to the Buck. He is a real ale fanatic and actually drinks the ale from the pumps in front of your very eyes!!! There are five handpulls usually with Copper Dragon Bitter, TT Landlord, Black Sheep, Deuchars IPA and a guest. The guests have been great such as River Catcher and Wylam Gold being my personal favourites.
I've never had a bad pint.
The bar is the preferred choice of the locals, very comfortable and friendly. The pool table was removed during the summer so we had good food in that area. I understand that the pool table will be back at the begining of October for the winter. Pool and darts keep these rural pubs going during the winter. One of the locals told us the Buck is also the best house for Guinness and lager, never mind real ale.
There's always a good atmosphere and the fire is on of the weather is poor. Well worth the visit.
