The Prince Blucher, Twickenham

I must say that I find Orchard123's review quite upsetting, and as someone who really likes this pub and finds James and his team one of the best pub teams I have encountered, I feel I would like to set the record straight from some informtion I happen to know.

I have heard from a very reliable source that the prize for the raffle was being discussed, agreed upon and arranged by the female supervisor of the pub, through a gentleman who was invloved in organising the Charity Dinner.
From what I hear, the supervisor was extremely helpful and actually stayed in contact with the gentleman directly and instructed him to deal only with her as she was taking ownership of the prize (as James the manager had agreed the prize but had handed over the rest to her). She went through a lot of trouble to have a voucher made and instructed the gentlemen what time he could collect it on the day of the dinner, to which he replied and confirmed he would come and collect it.

After all of that, he never did collect the voucher and as far as I'm aware, he has not contacted the supervisior with an apology or an explaination as to why he did not collect it. The voucher was for a 2 course meal for 2 with a bottle of wine... which I feel is a great prize in aid of the local charity. And a prize that now will not be used because of gross miscommunication between the organisers of the dinner. Perhaps only the one person should have stuck to dealing with one Prize Giver? No wonder James was confused and most likely taken off guard!
