Stayed in Bamford at the end of Sept in a cottage a few yards up the road from this pub. We were in Bamford for 4 nights and visited the pub each night and the Sunday afternoon. They had one ale on offer that was kept well, although this was unavailable on the Sunday as they had sold out due to a busy Sat night so Guinness it was! Nice friendly local, Landlord very accommodating and made us feel welcome, even said we could bring our Sunday roast over to eat in the pub if we wanted as none of us wanted to leave. PS. Note to landlord, sorry we didnt make Sunday night, we had all fallen asleep!!

At the end of a pretty good pub crawl in Castleton we hopped on the bus heading for Bamford, where we were staying for the weekend. The bus pulled into a little village called Bradwell and I remembered there was a few pubs to be found, so me and a mate quickly jumped off. The bus stopped at the end of the road where the White Hart is situated so it made sense to start there. There were a few people sat outside and 3 lads sat at the bar. We ordered a very good pint (given a sample first always good but cant remember what it was) and very soon got chatting to the locals. Well, we didnt bother visiting the other pubs. The locals made us feel very welcome, even with the north south banter, and had us in stitches. We actually fell out the pub laughing. Great time and one of the highlights of the weekend. Word of warning though, if the electric fly swat comes out from behind the bar dont hang around if youre easily offended! ps more than Green King on tap now.

The Old Hall Inn, Hope
Did a lovely walk from Bamford to Edale and Hope was a good stopping point for a pint (or 2) despite being a lovely sunny day a few of us decided to sit at the bar. There was a number of beers on offer and we all enjoyed our what we had. Friendly and knowledgeable bar staff. It was one of those afternoons when the sun is shining and you feel a session coming on, we took a vote and decided to continue the walk over the hills to Edale. Glad we did as the views were amazing.
