The Crown Inn, Christchurch

Someone's gone to a lot of trouble at The Crown and it's paid off. It's very dark and cosy and quite artfully done. It's all mismatched dining furniture and wood/slate floors. Went there for lunch today and they lit the open fire for us. Excellent. Serves Ringwood so another box ticked. No kids menu so no kids - perfect! Food isn't brilliant but it's far more reasonably priced than the nearby Three Tuns which can be extortionate, and has disppointing puddings. The Crown's Service can be a little over-solicitous one minute then they foget you're there the next. But all-in-all very good and I will be going back.
