Love a large one and this place has it all...Situated within spitting distance of the famous 'cobb' and the calming waters of the english channel ( ooh smashing ). Fantastic atmosphere in particular on a friday, saturday, sunday, monday, tuesday, wednesday and thursday - but to narrow it down - the weekends are when things really liven up! Great beer, great service and fantastic food - cooked mainly by a man with rather odd sideburns - well worth a look! If ever you're in Lyme Regis it would be a sin not to visit this establishment. In or out of season ( and there's a log fire in the winter ) this boozer gets my vote again and again....

can't quite believe we ended up in here...I had heard it was quite popular with the gay community so thought i'd give it a whirl with camp clive and some other mates - boy, were we out of our league here! .Eager to bend over backwards for you but sadly not our cup of earl grey. In fairness we didn't stop to eat as Geoff had just split up with his boyfriend of ten years and every time he looked at the sausage menu he collapsed into an uncontrollable heap, so we couldn't really rate the food but hardly anyone spoke and when they did it tended to be in short bursts that made no sense what so ever, a kind of 'oohh arh' type of affair ( bit devon for us ). Staff on the whole were quite friendly and curtious ( or maybe curious )and camp clive was well made up at being called 'Babe' everytime he ordered another taboo slammer with flashing ice cubes...We may go back but if you bat for the other side like us then the only place to go in Lyme Regis is the Cobb Arms just yards further up the road.
