The Farm, Bristol

Cozy one-size-fits-all pub.

This is one of those places where those from all walks of life gather together to drink. Depending on when you go, you'll find grizzled old men, hippies, families, teens, sports fans, couples, etc. If you are intolerant of any of those groups, The Farm probably isn't for you.

Excellent food, fireplace & woodburning oven, leather sofas, free wi-fi (for real, unlike many pubs that advertise it -- I'm using it as I write this), relaxed enough atmosphere you can hang around for several hours. I can't comment on the ales, being a cider fan... but they generally have at least one scrumpy and a sparkling on draught.

Note that the (widescreen) TV is usually off (otherwise I wouldn't come here), but I gather it's on for big sporting events when people want it. I'm docking the pub one point for having a TV at all, though.
