The Coach and Horses, Clerkenwell

It has an outside space that get the sun. It does decent beers that are always well kept. The bar snacks are great - home cured salami and freshly fried warm runny Scotch eggs etc. Their menu is creative and tasty and well priced. So why the lowish score? Twice I have left a card behind the bar when having drinks only, to find a service charge added when I came to pay. If you bring me my beers with a smile I wouldn't mind. This brings me to my second point - service. If you get served by the young chap expect smiles and service. If you get served by the landlady, then expect to move on to the next pub after you finish your pint.
