The Carpenters Arms, Burghclere

Visited here on a cold December lunch-time: roaring fire and a conservatory dining-room with great views. Bar staff very friendly and food good and reasonably priced. Ditto the beer. Would visit again.

The Tichborne Arms, Tichborne

Visited this pub during a sunny lunchtime and were able to sit in the very pleasant garden at the back of the pub. Food of a very good standard and prices were fairly reasonable - 2 very friendly dogs as well but not overpoweriingly so! Beer I tried was from The Flowerpots Brewery just down the road but there is a good selection in any case. Certainly will go back again.
