The Hope, Carshalton

Having been in the Hope on many occasions now I can fully understand why a ticket only policy is in place for Christmas and New Years eve.
I asked for and was given tickets for both of these nights without question or any request for payment and had a very enjoyable evening on both nights, the person on the door acted with both courtesy and politeness when I arrived and later whenever I passed him, at no time did I see a thug or a heavy handed bouncer on the door and the suggestion that he was either is defamatory in the extreme.
On both evenings I and everybody I spoke to who was in the Hope had a very good night with very good beer and a very nice buffet provided free by the pub, thank you very much to The Hope management.
