The Bridge, Barnes

went to the bridge based on milsonman's reveiw and was very pleased with the selection of ales ( wadworth 6X & doombar on my visit) also noticed there list of other guest ales they offer-refreshing to see. like milsonman it was a nice and busy evening and felt good a place a would return to. the offer of food was too great for me not to be tempted, not disapppointed at all. i had the chilli and ginger calamari ( wow) and was impressed by there menu's on offer. Meat Fish Wine a menu they run claims to show off there favourite food and use of favourite suppliers with most of the fish coming from cornwall. seems to be a menu with that little extra although i didnt take the plunge it looked inviting. they also have good size beer garden which has cover. my friend and i sat out there for a while, pleasant even at this time of year......shall return soon ( cumberland ale sounds like a good tipple)

The Wheatsheaf, Vauxhall

nice to see places getting some TLC from owners. some friends took me out in vauxhall and we fell upon the wheatsheaf. nice and busy and it seems a bit to offer. as a real ale drinker i was concerned about the comments made in previous reports on this website but i must say that the only thing that got watered that night was me...............none stop! found the staff welcoming and happy which is always nice when partaking in the odd beverage or TWO. i shall return for more ales..well done guys

The Britannia, Richmond

WOW!!!!! not sure if this is the same place i have seen before or whether i was so drunk that it could of been another town.....this has transformed. new decor, garden has been given some love and it seems they have a function room and great looking terrace for parties. really enjoyed the ales i must say..nice to see happy staff wanting to bring your drinks to you whilst you bask in the sun. its seems they have moved away from the old microwave meals!!!!!!!! thank goodness
