The Crescent, Salford

Just got back from a few days in the area and I wasn't impressed with the beers or the service, or lack of. Apparently there was a beer festival on but apart from the CAMRA flags you wouldn't have guessed. Good selection of bottles sadly let down by the lacklustre selection of cask beers, not in particularly good condition. The only member of staff seemed uninterested to the point of being offhand or even rude. Such a pity for a pub with the history that this one has. One can only hope that this was a temporary aberation and that it will improve over time. Nice new paintwork outside though.
