The Waterside Inn, Shoreham by Sea

I have been a regular at the Waterside Inn for a number of years.
I have never seen it so poorly run.
The staff are fine, but there is just not enough of them. During busy periods there are usually two bar staff on duty, sometimes three.
As the bar staff are also responsible for taking food orders you can appreciate that at least one member of staff is usually tied up with this process for a large pecentage of their shift, then of course there is actually taking the food to the tables, collecting dirty glasses (from outside as well now that the warmer weather has arrived) washing the glasses, restocking the bar, changing the barrels and trying to serve customers.
On Sunday, after waiting ages at a bar absolutely full of dirty glasses and not even getting looked at by the obviously stressed out staff, we decided enough was enough and strolled over the bridge to the town centre pubs, what a pleasant afternoon we had. It will be long time before we return to the Waterside.

During all of this time the Landlord was nowhere to be seen, as usual. He has perfected the art of arriving behind the bar just as the 'rush' has subsided.... wonderful thing this CCTV

Greene King...have you not worked it out yet..I know you are interested in profits and staff costs money, but unless this pub gets more (experienced) staff soon, more and more regulars will be doing the same as we did this weekend - disappearing for good.
What a shame, because it could be a really nice pub, if only it were run correctly
