The Sessile Oak, Llanelli

Good choice for a meal and a drink before or after the rugby at nearby Parc y Scarlets, or even if you are shopping in the retail parks adjacent to the pub.

The carvery was really good and they had a nice selection of beers, including some on the pump. Popular with families, so be prepared for children outside of school times!

The Bucket and Spade, Llanelli

Excellent pub, not far from the beach by Llanelli's North Dock. Lovely big beer garden, fabulous to sit there in nice weather during the summer.

No real ale here, so ale fans will be disappointed, but the usual lager and keg bitter selections.

My most recent visit saw me ther eon a quiet Friday evening, though I gathered that there some function on nearby which a lot of the regulars had gone to. Usually there is a good atmosphere there at weekends!
