The Rock Point Inn, Lyme Regis

Stumbled across this pub by accident as it's attached to a chip shop. We thought the terrace garden was actually for the chip shop as it uses the same furniture and is on the same level, genuine mistake - must happen all the time as a male staff member said it was ok to eat chips there as long as we brought drinks from the bar.
Inside, the bar seemed clean and modern. The drinks I had were average - a bit pricey, probably due to the lovely seafront location.
Somewhat taken aback when a female member of staff suddenly appears and gives my wife and I a proper dressing down about eating our food there. How embarrassing - especially after buying their overpriced liquids on the proviso it was ok.
Binned lunch, left drinks - won't be going back!

The Cobb Arms, Lyme Regis

My whole family love this pub - we usually meet up here as it's central to where we live, the food is always good, quality but not too expensive, and the staff are brilliant. They always make us feel welcome and bend over backwards to accommodate our various needs.
