Had heard some good things about this place as a venue to watch sport, so my girlfriend and I decided to give it a go. What a rubbish place it was. The staff were lacking any manners whatsoever, and quite happy to ignore me as I waited at the bar. The clientele seemed to comprise a number of professional alcoholics, one of which tried to move on my girlfriend, only to make an ass of himself. Ultimately I stood at the bar for the best part of ten minutes being ignored by the staff, before moving a few doors down to 'The Green' to watch the sport all afternoon in a place happy to take my money in exhange for good, swift service.
This place is rubbish, full stop.

The Trent Bridge Inn, West Bridgford
It looked like a nice pub when I went in, but what I experienced was anything but nice.
There were no signs relating to any headwear policy, although I did not have a problem removing my hat when asked. The problem for me was that rather than come over and ask me to remove it, she shouted at me from accross the bar. I found this quite rude and rather embarrassing not only for myself but also my partner. She proceeded to order me take my feet off a stool in the same manner.
Were it not for the fact my partner had already ordered food, I would have got up and left.
Incidentally, the food, a simple cheeseburger, took more than 45 minutes, and whilst it was a rather poor bit of grub, it was the lack of hospitality that truly left a bad taste in my mouth.
One to avoid.

The Green, Shepherds Bush
A suprise gem of a place, given its location. Neighboured by O'Neills and Walkabout, I thought this would be another disappointing afternoon spent trying to enjoy the game. On the contrary, I was able to enjoy Premiership football on one screen, 6 nations rugby on the other, swift bar sevice, and a pleasant atmosphere. Best bar in the area.
