The Stag, Hastings

This is a lovely pub which I spent a glorious summer evening at; listening to a great zydeco band (Jumbo Gumbo) in the back room and generally chilling out after a day on the beach. The beer garden was small but had seating and you couuld always sit on the fountain's wall. Good selection of real ale and the barmaids were really friendly. Prices were good - a pleasing suprise today. Well done girls - you worked so hard in the heat and we had a great time!

The King and Queen, East Malling

This is the pub I take my out of town visitors too; typical English pub with an open fire - but it lacks atmosphere for the regular drinker. It maybe needs an eccentric landlord or a hunched customer in the corner to give it a pulling point. Beer's okay but that's not what all of us go to a pub for nowadays...
..and what is it about those bloody uncomfortable chairs and tiny tables?
