The Dragonfly, Newport

I went with a party of 6 for a meal at 7.30pm yesterday. My wife was served chilled white wine in a HOT glass. very difficult for the barman to change the glass, only after demanding to see the manager, was this done. Toilets were out of order. We were given a table in full view of a bucket in the middle of the floor for dripping water.The menu boards were not up to date, after queing to order only to be told they had run out. Finally ordered main meals, when they arrived I asked for the onion rings that had been ordered, and was told they would be on the way. 15 minutes later I asked a lady where the onion rings were, and was told they were on the way. When I almost had finished my meal, my wife asked again, and they then arrived at the end of the meal. Nobody came to clear the table to order desserts, so back to the bar again, same story, they had run out of some desserts, finally reordered. To sum up the food was good, the service was non existant, all in all a very dissapointing evening, and nothing like I have experienced of a lunchtime in this pub.
