Smiths Arms, Brecon Hill
Cracking little pub, it's a little walk from Great Lumley (10 mins) but well worth the effort. Small bar with open fire, usually good crack going on. The Jarrow brewery rivet catcher is my particular favourite real ale.
There is a larger lounge area and food is good and reasonably priced.
