The Ship Inn, East Looe

Everybody has it's favourite pub for whatever reason and the Ship always ranks high in my esteem for many reasons.The staff are very friendly yet don't take any nonsense from drunken tourists and of course the food is excellant.I have however a soft spot for Louise the mangeress and I want her to wink at me when she serves me next if she reads this text or knows my signature.I also have a soft spot for the wife but it is on Bodmin Moor near Dozmary Pool!One of the reasons why I like the Ship and have been a regular for three years could have something to do that the snug by the corner window looked just like the living room of a house I once owned-sometimes I sit in it and either think or crave for the return of my house which I sold and moved to Cornwall for all the wrong reasons.

Ship Inn, Fowey

What a lovely discovery.The staff were very pleasant and the food looked good in passing,but what I noticed more than anything was the intimacy of the separate cubicle areas.And when I was short on my next round,rather than break into a fresh �20,a rather attractive young local lady dipped into her purse with the coppers to ease my embarrassment.However trying to find a seat here is like looking for a virgin in a maternity ward and it is only testimony to it's quality and success.
