The John Baird, Muswell Hill

Brian Brain, not sure if you're still around...but you couldn't possibly get it more wrong. Just because a pub doesn't have dirt everywhere doesn't mean it isn't a 'local'. Quite the opposite, the Baird has a great following of local drinkers, and I do believe some of them are actually working class if not a good percentage. The staff actually remember your name, and are all genuinely welcoming and there's a west country beer festival on at the moment, with 30 odd ales on 3 or 4 at a time depending on how quick the barrel goes. Can't praise the place highly enough.
