Three Pigeons, Halifax

Great little Osset pub about 5 mins walk from Halifax train station.

My local when I'm back home, in this no-nonsense boozer the ales are always superbly kept and there's always a great selection (bottled and by pump) with ever changing guest ales and a cider if you're feeling like a refreshing tipple in the summer.

The pub itself has 4 rooms, each with their own characteristics and charms which have been redecorated in such a way that none of the character has been lost - a rarity these days.

Along with the Big 6, this is a place that you should always find time to pop in if you're in Halifax.

Big Six, Halifax

Brilliant little pub down a terraced street made by knocking together 2 houses. It always has a good selection of superbly kept ales and whiskies that can be enjoyed in one of the 3 or 4 rooms in the pub or the beer garden (out the back door and across the street).
Looking like it hasn't been decorated since 1945, the pub itself has all the characteristics and charm that a decent pub should have, and long may it stay that way!

One of the two best pubs in Halifax. 5 mins in a taxi from the train or bus station - if you find yourself in town it's worth popping in for a couple.
