The Golden Heart, Shoreditch

Quite busy for a Tuesday night. It was like being on the set of a Nathan Barley shoot. Lots of daft haircuts & mad clothes.
That being said, I thought the Guiness was good & the barstaff were efficient and friendly. It had a game on as well.
No sign of the landlady which disappointed me. I was looking forward to watching her in action.

The vodka tonic I had nearly blew my head off. Yes it was expensive, but it was full of alcohol.
Hen party in one corner, 21st birthday party clogging up the dance floor.
Don't expect too much from this place. You'd be disappointed otherwise.

The Langley, Covent Garden

Used to regularly come here.
This time round, the wine tasted like vinegar and would have been perfect on our chips. Has this place changed hands? - the replacements for the once knowledgable barstaff seem clueless about the most basic drinks.
I will never return.
