The Farmers Inn, Scaynes Hill

I am so glad I didn't take notice of the last review!!

I ate here last week on a Monday night, the chef was off so the landlady was cooking. Amazing value for money, I only paid �7.95 for homemade Moussaka with chips and fresh Greek Salad!! The Moussaka was really tasty and obviously home made (though could have been a wee bit hotter) and the salad was very generous and tasty. The young lady who waited on us was very friendly and polite. The pub was fairly quiet but what can one expect on a Monday.

I can only think that the chaos the last reviewer wrote about was simply teething problems. I understand from the waitress that they have had a complete change of staff since re-opening. I am returning with 9 friends on a Thursday and will sample a more expensive meal.

The menu has a lot of choice - all in all very good value.
