The Two Brewers, Dartford

Ah! The pub where it all started some 20-odd years ago. Another of Lagermaster's favourite pubs. A great place for a lunchtime pint. Certainly not blessed with a modern decor but generally clean and welcoming - the removal of the pool table in favour of some additional comfy leather chairs is a big plus (especially if you are an 'at-the-bar' drinker). OK, so you need to be flexible to drink here (the low beams have taken their toll on the old noggin) and it can get a bit smokey at times (it's a pub for gawd's sake) but it is so 'un-Dartford' like i.e. a Chavvie, teenie, ganster wannabe free zone that you never feel the need to be on your guard just incase their alcopops kick in. Everytime I go in there it feels like I've come home....and I like my home. Oh, and a cracking kebab is waiting for you just next door!

The Royal Oak, Dartford

"Hammered" (previous posts) obviously was when he/she wrote their review. This is easily one of the best pubs in Dartford. Situated just far enough away from Chav Central (anywhere within 100 yards of One Bell Corner) TRO has efficient & friendly service, a damn good jukey, big (yet unobtrusive) plasma tv for all your sporting needs, and I absolutely double-dare you to try and feel threatened by any of the patrons. For those who live in the area and are looking for a nice local boozer with great friendly atmos this establishment ticks all the right boxes. The Bull 'n Vic it ain't ..... thank God!
