The Chequers Inn, High Halden

New owners in the pub have given it a new lease of life! Sunday carvery was fantastic, landlord was carving and was not only welcoming and pleasant but generous with the three meat choices (pork, lamb and beef when we visited). Can only compliment the chef - great value for money, good quality food and our waitress made the whole experience very pleasant and enjoyable.

Have recommended to our friends and family, and have booked again for next week!

The Red Lion, Lenham

Having recently moved into the village we have found a home from home in The Red Lion. We are always met with a warm welcome whether we pop in for a quick drink or a 3 course meal. Food is fantastic, portions are huge and the chef Ian is always more than happy to accommodate dietary requirements / fussy eaters! Would highly recommend the Hot Stones menu - great value for money, and quality of meat is exceptional (local produce). Recently, the staff at The Red Lion catered for my partners birthday, and we arrived to find the function room beautifully arranged and laid out, food was incredible and service was exceptional. Our party of 15 were very happy with and appreciative of all the effort the staff went to to make sure our celebration was a success; no task was too much effort. Cannot praise this place enough - keep up the good work!
