The Fox and Hounds, Shenstone

Have been here many times for drinks but not to eat. They had my booking in the wrong name to start with. Our table right by the kitchen door so not that great. My beef & ale pie overcooked with dry beef & shrivelled mushrooms. Girlfriend's cod was chewy and bland. The lemon tarts for dessert were very nice. These & the great 'two for one' main courses (provided you each had starters or desserts)saved the day. Perhaps we just had an off day - it was very busy. But this was pub quality food - and not great at that - rather than a proper restaurant
