The Sherlock Holmes, Charing Cross

Friendly pub. Food wasn't as good as I'd have hoped (small portion considering the price) but it was tasty and the service was good.

The Bricklayers Arms, Fitzrovia

Fantastic pub. Only been there once, but was so surprised that a cheap, friendly and cosy pub could exist right in the heart of London. The beer was fantastic, the two Aussie / NZ barmaids were friendly, and the sofas and decor were wonderful.

Top stuff.

The Greyhound, Derby

Lovely pub. Very student oriented, despite the outer appearances. Friendly, laid back staff, dirt cheap drinks, good music. Guitar Hero Sundays are good fun.

If you're one of the nicer, more relaxed variety of students in Derby, who prefer to avoid Blue Bamboo and Red, then check out this pub.
