The Old Chestnut Tree Inn, Lower Moor

I have now been to this pub on two occasions, one a few years back and the latest earlier this year. It is an old dark beamed, stone floored atmospheric pub with good beer, a friendly staff and good food. It used to be pretty bad but the new management have turned it around completely.

The prices for the beer and food were good, as were the portion sizes. We went there with our family as there was a two piece band on and we were made to feel very welcome. The band were great and the place was packed -absolutely great, just like a pub should be. I wish my village pub was this good, I'd be in it all the time (if my wife would let me!)

We will definately be back when we are down that way.
