Gordon Bennnett bar + kitchen, Surbiton

Their "Boomerang" CabSauv was immensely drinkable (sorry Francophiles), and the koftas went down a treat (though my stomach would have appreciated a slightly larger portion!). As others have said, this is a wine bar more than a pub, but it's a fairly young crowd and reasonably trendy (e.g. no sawdust). It was quite popular last Saturday night, but it didn't take us more than half a glass of wine at the bar to get a table. Right up my street. Oh, the music could have done with being slightly quieter given then we weren't there to dance or pretend we were 18, but that's only a minor gripe.
