The Adelaide, Teddington

I don't know what the food was like before the change of ownership, but since the Irish man has been in charge, the Sunday Roast is fantastic (although I don't think it's him who cooks it). I've been back a good few times for this real treat of a Sunday roast -- really excellent quality and great value at just �6.95. (Perfect veg -- and a good selection of veg at that -- and a choice of three roasts -- perfect Yorkshire pub -- yum I could fancy one this weekend; getting hungry writing this).

It can take a while to arrive, and they apologise several times for this, but who cares about waiting 20 odd minutes when you get a really outstanding freshly cooked meal for less than seven quid. And this is in a town where only a few hundred yards away another pub charges THREE QUID for pint of bitter bog standard bitter. I know I'm gushing, but the Sunday roasts I've had here really have been exceptionally good. They do other food as well, but I've only ever tried the roasts.

And their selection of ales is good as well -- they get some quirky seasonal ones in which I always enjoy giving a try.
