The Clarendon, Pimlico

Possibly the best pub in London!
Set back five minutes stroll from Victoria station in the relative calm of Pimlico is this fine, sumptuous, warm and welcoming pub. A veritable gem of a watering hole.
This Pimlico pub is all things to all drinkers � firstly there�s the clean, open, bright space inside that gives a crafty mixture of boozer, eatery and meeting place.
Secondly (and the reason why we all go into pubs) is the choice of drinks and food: a great selection of fine wines and spirits, Fosters, Kronenberg 1664, low fermented, fine Italian Birra Moretti Deuchars IPA, and three other clips with two new guest ales.
Then there�s the food: apart from complimentary bar snacks of sausages and chips regularly on offer, the hungry or peckish frequenter can scoff some great pub fayre that fits in well with the times.
Thirdly (and probably the clincher) is the friendliness, professionalism and sheer delight of the bar staff, headed by arguably the best, bubbliest, brightest landlady this side of old father Thames.
Busy at times, quiet at others � this is a bit of a hidden secret delight to all who encounter it. The mix of punters truly represents all of London life.
But once you discover it, don�t tell everyone. Let it be our secret!!
