The Stand Up Inn, Lindfield

I popped in this lovely little refreshment room with my dear friends Dorris and Mable, not being very partial to drink (apart from perhaps a cheeky G&T on her majesty's birthday) we were pleasantly surprised by the options of tea or coffee.

We sat in a lovely little section right, in the window where we could watch the world go by and spy what the neighbours had in their shopping bags. We had the most delicious tea you have ever tasted all topped off with a cute little complementarity choccie on the saucer all delivered by the most tall, slim handsome young man, if I was forty years younger I'd have pinched his rump! More realistically, there is a very handsome older man with the most attractive dark beard whom sits at the end of the bar most days, I often now when I pass the pub stare longingly through the window and wish that I could feel his beard brushing across my bosom...
