The Lighter Inn, Topsham

Visited on an August Sunday & it was very busy. Service was quick but at the expense of quality.
8.95 for a roast dinner is on the high side and we expected more than
a couple of thin slices of tasteless beef, 3 roast potatoes, a few carrots, swede and mangetout. The ubiquitous Aunt Bessie Yorkshire pud and thin gravy was a real disappointment.
What I disliked most was the large soup bowl in which it was served.

One redeeming feature was the Dorset apple cake and ice cream - Lovely.

A beautiful setting but if these prices are charged then the food needs upgrading.
