Smugglers Inn, Osmington Mills

Lovely location, very picturesque. Ordered food on a Sunday evening, we were hoping to have the carvery, but it had sold out. The other menu was quite good, if a bit on the expensive side. Generally good food, but some items arrived colder than they should have done. RI would recommend this for the OK food, but definitely the location.

The Springhead, Sutton Poyntz

Just returned from a weekend away with my family and happened upon this Pub. It is in a beautiful setting with a duckpond out front and a play area and gardens out back.
We stopped for lunch and must say we were very disappointed. The lady serving was rather offhand, almost verging on unpleasant, as if we were in her way. The food looked good on paper, although a tad expensive. That said, we were very unimpressed with the food when it arrived. 2 of the orders were incorrect and had to be redone, a cheese omlette turned out to be just an omlette (no idea where the cheese went), and a gourmet burger was anything but.
I am sorry to say I would not recommend this.
