The Prospect of Whitby, Wapping

I booked the Prospect of Whitby for one of those milestone birthdays on 18/9/2011 and invited family and friends from far and wide including Boston USA , Isle of Man and UK to a pub lunch. I was not expecting a gourmet meal but having booked a table I did expect to be advised where that table was on arrival and not to wait over 3 hours to complete a simple pub lunch. There was no organisation , grumpy staff , no one visibly in charge and the food took ages to arrive.We will never go back and have renamed the pub ' The Prospect of Starvation ' .Having complained politely in detail in writing I am still waiting for a letter of apology from the CEO of Spirit Pubs - the chain that owns it - signalling that they will take measures to improve.Even the CEO can't be bothered.it seems.
