Irish bloke living in UK for many years. Enjoys nothing more that a good pint in a good pub. Fan of bitters and lagers. Dislike paying good money for bad / higly processed food. Prefer older, traditional pubs but enjoy many types. Living in Hertford, Herts.

Went in for family Sunday lunch on the spur of the moment. Never been before. Initially staff were very friendly, helping with childs seat etc. Menu looked pricey. 9 for a traditional roast dinner. I ordered the 'traditional' spaghetti bolognaise. It was very poor quality. Almost certainly frozen mince meat with nothing fresh in it. Served like a paste on top of the spaghetti. Obviously made with the cheapest of ingredients. Others roast dinners were OK but not exciting and didn't warrant the high price. Staff collected half the plates later but left the rest, didn't ask if everything was OK at any time. Very disappointing. Can't comment on the beers as we were all driving but could not recommend this pub for food.
