The Eagles Hotel, Llanrwst

The pooltable bar is well frequented by under-25s, especially at weekends, and can be noisy if you want to talk. There is also a non-residents' lounge bar through the main hotel lobby: this has good beer (Abbotts, Old Hen, others)which is very well kept. Bar food is ok rather than special. Decor is being updated gradually. very welcoming staff.

The Red Lion, Llanrwst

This is the main rugby pub in Llanrwst and very friendly with it - all nationalities welcome, tho England supporters may get a gentle ribbing. Beer is good rather than special. Can be quiet midweek.
