The Rosebud, Brightlingsea
Yes I have something to say about this rather attractive, hidden gem...with regard to the latest so called review..it is absolute dribble! You have no idea what you are talking about, this is a lovely pub with very friendly staff and regulars alike. the previous management left a lot to be desired! The new people are wonderful and are trying their hardest. With regard to the real ales, it's wonderful to see 4 real ales on and kept to the highest standard possible..before their own brew was a disaster under the last chap and only fit for compost! Who cares if all the beers come from an "award winning micro brewery" such as Mighty Oak Brewing Co. At least they are all top quality and very tasty to boot! Not many places around here even know how to keep a quality ale. I myself was in the pub on the night in question and I did not encounter any loud, foul language or rumpus behaviour and to use the tag "shaven headed and tattooed" shouldn't this be deemed as sort of racist to the people whom you were talking about? I was sat right by the bitters and had no problems whatsoever. I think sir that you had the hump because you could not get a seat at the bar and also because there was a private function on you also took a down side view on this as well. As to speaking to the owner about this STUPID complaint of yours...well good luck, as he was in the pub at the time collecting glasses because they were so busy and he was smiling all night long....GROW UP.
