The Blacksmiths Arms, Little Clacton

Sad Experience. Got booked to appear following our free show at the Cancer Research Relay event down the road. Landlord cancelled our gig at 6pm speaking to a member of our band whilst he was walking around the Relay event. Thing is the rest of the band had already left and started setting up in his pub. The Landlord stormed back and became abusive and began threatening throw our equipment and us out of his pub. Now admittedly he had a few too many already (6pm) but there had been a 7 foot sign outside the pup advertising the band all day long and we had made three separate telephone calls confirming our booking.. No compensation offered, not even a drink and a bite to eat, not to mention our expenses getting to the place in the first place. I am not spending money on a band when there haven't been many people in the pub all day , so the 'Landlord' explained whilst trying to square up to us. WARNING to any other musicians - AVOID at all costs.
