The Sun Inn, Dunsfold

Before anyone asks, yes, I live in Dunsfold; yes, this is my local; yes I know the regulars; no, I have no financial connection with this pub. However, if posting a good comment here helps to keep this pub open then I am happy to do that. I agree completely with what Boozy Bill has written. This is the archetypal village pub...no pretensions of grandeur...well-cooked and tasty "pub-grub"...a friendly and chatty clientale..and a very important social centre. A beautiful building in a superb position, maybe in need of some cosmetic attention but that's a minor point. The village needs this pub and it would be a disaster if it was turned into a restaurant or even closed down.
