The Golden Eagle, Lincoln

Once the real ale Mecca of Lincoln, now sadly a shadow of its former self. Choice of beers is rather hit and miss (mostly miss) and the quality is definitely not up to scratch. Might still be worth a visit though as despite all the indifference it still attracts arguably the friendliest clientele in Lincoln

The Jolly Brewer, Lincoln

Nicely constructed with a lovely rear.............and that's just the landlady! Eclectic art-deco pub with an emphasis on the Arts. Live music, drama and a passage exhibition gallery feature regularly. Superbly kept real ales and a good range of ciders and lagers. No food. One of the best watering holes in Lincoln.
