The Nags Head, Warminster

A drinkers/rugby pub. Three TV screens and lots of horse brasses! Pubs like this are dying and it's a shame. Not one for a family meal perhaps, but a good honest boozer for all that, what you see is what you get.

The George, Norton St Philip

Heaving with atmoshpere, good beer, hearty protions (especially Sunday lunch) - in all, a great 'olde worlde' pub - with the history to back it up. Been with work colleagues (with overseas guests) and with my very young family, and it catered well for both. Ask about the dungeon dining room for that special occcasion! Good walk to the rear. A top pub. Booked for Mothers day!

The Angel Inn, Upton Scudamore

Agree with Saxon Scooper - overpriced so-called bistro pub. Been twice (one voluntarily, once as part of a group). Had to wait an eternity on a Tuesday night (understaffed) for a 17 main course, the potato accompanyemnt was burnt. Outrageous. Lacks real atmosphere. Does not justify the cost. Beer ok.
