The Gipsy Moth, Greenwich

Being local to the area I have been to this pub on numerous occasions and I have generally only had good things to report, however my last three visits have left me feeling that the standards have definitely slipped at the Gipsy Moth. The first slip was when taking my mother for lunch, her 'warm' salad was stone cold, as were half of the potato wedges, we are not ones to complain though and it was busy, so thought nothing of it. On the second disappointing visit, I ordered a large glass of ros� wine, and even though the bottle was taken from the fridge the wine was very warm, so I took it back expecting to be offered a fresh one, instead the staff were very unhelpful, and just offered to put some ice in it, for over �5 a glass I expected more but as that was all I was going to get I accepted, and decided to change drink at the next round, I went for white wine and soda, unfortunately the gas had obviously gone, so I had white wine and water, however as the first complaint had been practically ignored, I didn't bother again and we just changed pubs instead!

I do like the Gipsy Moth, so when invited there to meet friends last week I accepted and put past mishaps behind me, however when my friend had a problem the staff were again very unhelpful and the manager himself was very rude and dismissive. Such a shame that staff's attitude to what are such small mishaps make venturing to this normally great pub not worth the bother, maybe its because the pub has a prominent tourist pulling position so they do not need to worry about retaining customers?
