The Bottle and Glass, Binfield Heath

Used this pub most nights night when serving a 3 year stretch at Reading (University) a while back (OK, 4 decades ago..). Have been back from time to time and is still one of the best pubs around. Garden great and inside is welcoming. Unchanged on my last trip, showing a winning formula need not be improved. Good walks; next to where the Baskervilles came from (inspiration for Conan Doyle).

The Peyton Arms, Stoke Lyne

Off the beaten track but is certainly well worth the detour. Don't understand the carping comments; this stranger couldn't have felt more welcome.
Beer brillantly kept and Mick the H knows obviously more about beer and pubs (within at least a radius of 50 miles) than anyone you'll meet this side of .. whatever.
How can you rate the unique? Can't give it a 10 after one visit on principle but it certainly merits a 9++
