The Globe Hotel, Glossop

I pop into this traditional pub for the bottled Budvar which make a refreshing change from real ale. I'd given up long ago on the draught beer here because of the poor quality, but on my last visit I noticed they did a "keg" lager, so I thought I'd give it a try. Shouldn't have bothered it was absolutely disgusting, it really comes to something when I could actually say it would be more pleasant to drink Carlsberg or Fosters rather than this stuff. I have to agree with one of the comments below, whoever is trying to brew the beer here in need of some serious training in the art of brewing, at the moment he's doing a great job of turning away real ale drinkers from the pub. I only call in for the Budvar, which is not too easy to find and their beer garden is very pleasant, buts that's about it.
